Innovation in Short Supply

This article by Pascal Levensohn struck so many cords with me that I was compelled to share. As a pro-business, entrepreneurial business owner, I too am disturbed about the emerging trends in our macro economy.

I pride myself on being politically “agnostic”—I’m not in the corner of any political party. In a recent political conversation with my co-founder Henrik Johansson, I said that I could care less if our leaders are Democrats or Republicans, as long as they want to get back to the fundamentals that made our country great. Greatness comes off of the backs of hardworking Americans that are innovative, entrepreneurial and take risks. These are the people that will put people to work.

The strategy of rewarding laziness and ignorance was a failed Bush strategy… and is obviously not working under the current administration. Whereas the strategy of rewarding innovation and risk-taking is for some reason not on the agenda of our policy makers.

Levensohn’s article makes some great points that I find enlightening in the dark landscape of our economy.

Peace, love and promotional products,

JB

You are very honest in informing everyone.

America is recognised for talent and innovation. This is fading slowly, however, our American should not loose focus on innovating things for the whole humanity.

Thanks Prasad…we are living in a very interesting time. The entrepreneurial journey is very difficult at takes a certain personality type to pull it off. If we (our country) loses touch with rewarding entrepreneurial endeavors then our society will have a more difficult time competing in the future.

My fear is that our government leaders are missing the ball with respect to importance of business. Hopefully they will listen to their advisers, such as Warren Buffett who is noted DEM, who had harsh words on the direction of the current administration.

In due time… JB
