This month the folks over at Boundless Marketing have been working on a campaign to help our sales force keep up with the industry’s biggest trend: green promotional products. Boundless has put together a website where clients can browse products, read case studies and get in contact with their BN representative, as well as a brochure/product kit that will soon be available on-demand from our online print store. We’re also keeping clients in the loop with a couple of slick e-fliers featuring the best of our green products and program ideas.
Can I hear a Yee Haw! I always look forward to the Dallas show. Texas is our home state, and Boundless has a significant sales presence in this market (five offices with over 45 sales professionals). So anytime there is an industry event in our state, we make the most of it!
Dallas was fantastic on multiple fronts. Some highlights…
The ASI Dallas show has begun with a bang! Today, I had an opportunity to talk with Andy Cohen of Counselor Magazine and many other great folks at an education session.
I have often said that the most difficult business in this industry is owning a self-funded promotional distributorship. Quite honestly, I would get out of the industry before I subjected myself to the pains of this business model. A recession in the promotional products industry is a double whammy for distributors.
I am not expert on how the industry responds to a recession, but I have a few battle wounds from my prior company HotLink in surviving a few “iffy” times.
People say the industry is “recession proof.” Personally, I wouldn’t go that far, but I would say that the successful distributors and salespeople with the right value proposition can actually grow exponentially in a recession economy. I suppose that’s fair to say in any industry.
